[Abbr: Acd. Jr. AJBR]Studies on Influence of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza and Some Plant Growth Promoting Rhizomicroorganisms on Rauvolfia Serpentina

Rauvolfia serpentine (Linn.) Benth. ex Kurz (Indian serpentwood), belonging to the family Apocynaceae, and popularly known as India’s wonder drug plant. It is an upright, perennating, evergreen undershrub with tuberous roots. Its dried root is the economical part which contains a number of alkaloids and some important secondary metabolites. The present study was conducted to determine the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (Glomus fasciculatum) and some plant growth promoting rhizomicroorganisms (PGPR,s) on Rauvolfia serpentine plants under open pot conditions. Different plant growth parameters viz plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, dry weight, mycorrhizal parameters were recorded. The results of this experiment clearly indicated that Glomus fasciculatum and plant growth promoting rhizomicroorganisms enhance the growth, biomass production in Rauvolfia serpentina plant. However future studies can be done for standardizing with different combinations of arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi and PGPRs. Human Gene Therapy: An Overview

The notion of transporting genes to tissues for medical uses and implementations has been debated for almost half a century and advancement in biotechnology have introduced gene treatment to the vanguard of medicinal learning. The transference of genetic matter to treat sicknesses or to advance the medical position of a patient is termed as Gene Therapy. The elementary ideas of gene treatment is to alter viruses into genomic transports, which will transport the gene of importance onto the aimed cells. Depending up on the behavior of the virus-related genome, these gene treatment courses can be distributed into DNA and RNA virus-related courses. Gene transferal procedures have been appropriate for use of human in hereditary ailments, cancers and attained ailments. Gene therapy has not provided any everlasting treatment to any human patients, a revolution may come anytime. This paper discusses an overview of gene therapy and the extents of noteworthy advancement and evolution in this arena with the resolution of recognizing durable developments in both research as well as practice activities. Stem Cell: Future of Medicine

Self-renewal and totipotency are the characteristic of the stem cells. In order to treat injuries and diseases, stem cell therapy is an emerging and revolutionary way with wide range of medical benefits. The chief motive of stem cell treatment is to restore/ heal damaged and unhealthy body parts with new healthy stem cell transplantation. The information of supervisors of stem cells has unlocked the remedial use of stem cells in the method of neuron restoration, curing of bone deficiency, testing of drug, gene treatment and cell based treatment in the procedure of muscle impairment, spinal cord damage, cancer treatment etc. Many scientific and ethical questions with many future challenges is present in the research of stem cell. Waste Materials: Good Sources of Biofuels

Nowadays, the increasing waste material like fruit and vegetable waste, industrial waste, paper waste, and so on has made an vast problem in both developed and developing countries. According to the report of waste management, India produce 1, 20,000 tons solid waste materials per day. Researchers give an idea to reduce these waste materials by using these material in the production of fuels. The fuels, called biofuels are produced by these wastes with the help of fermentation using the microorganisms. The generation of fuel from the waste material is considered as a renewable energy resource that are used in transportation. By the investigation of composition of ash material, the law regulation preferred the use of biomass combustion because of the zero emission of carbon dioxide. Paper mills are the major source that produce approximately 25% primary fuel.
